    1. Indian Air Force

    Joined the Indian Air Force on 07-01-1967 and stood First in the training at No. 1 Ground Training School, Sambre (Belgaum) Karnataka. During 15 years of service in the Indian Air Force, was mainly posted at Sambre (Belgaum), Coimbatore, Chandigarh, Nagpur and Agra. Attended 10 days Battle Inoculation Camp in Gezalatty Jungles in Tamil Nadu. Participated in the Indo-Pak War of 1971. Discharged from the Indian Air Force on 31-01-1982 as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer on successful completion of Regular Term of Engagement for 15 years (Character: Exemplary and Trade Efficiency: Exceptional).

    2. Legal Practice in Courts

    Enrolled as an Advocate, with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana on 4th March 1982, vide Enrollment No P/126/1982 and practiced Laws at the Sessions Court at Patiala.  Joined Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited as a Sales Officer on 02-07-1984. Resigned from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited on 12-04-2007 and resumed Legal Practice and Consultancy in Petroleum Matters at Chandigarh.

    Joined Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) as a Sales Officer on 02-07-1984. During service with BPCL, was mainly posted at Chandigarh Jaipur and Hisar and handled the important functions of Retail and Direct Sales of LPG, Petrol, Diesel, Lubricants and Bitumen, Market Surveys, Advertisements and Interviews for New Petrol Pumps and LPG Distributorships, Accounts, Legal Matters, Co-ordination with various Central / State Govt. Departments and Public Sector Oil Companies. Held the designations of Sales Officer, Senior Sales Officer, Deputy Manager Sales, Manager Marketing Services and Territory Manager. Resigned from BPCL on 12-04-2007 after serving for a period of 22 years and 9 months. While in Bharat Petroleum, handled the areas falling in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, Rajasthan & The UT of Chandigarh.

    During the service with BPCL attended many important Training Programmes including Product Knowledge, Personnel Management, Personal Effectiveness Programme, Marketing Communication, Petroleum and Gas Conservation & Fire Safety etc.

    • 2. Preparation of Applications for allotment of New Petrol Pumps / LPG Distributorships against advertisements issued by the Oil Companies.
    • 3. Preparation of replies to Inspections / Audits & Stock Checks of Petrol Pumps / LPG Distributorships by Oil Company Officers and other State / Central Govt Authorities.
    • 4. Preparation of replies to the Show Cause Notices and letters of Suspension / Termination of Petrol Pumps / LPG Distributorships issued by the Oil Companies in connection with violations of Instruction, Rules and Regulations contained in the Dealership / Distributorship Agreements and Marketing Discipline Guidelines issued by the Oil Companies.
